SNOW WHITE COOKIES

Snow White Cookies
  (Kue Putri Salju)


      I first try this cookies in my mother's friend home, i was just a teenager that time. The cookies is so soft, and melted in my mouth, a mix taste of sweet, salty and crunchy. From that time,  I begin to try various recipe and after so many try outs, with my beloved late Ma as a dedicated tester, I come up with this recipe. So...I'm very pleased to share this recipe with all my friends....
The ingredients is so simple, you will amaze how it become a very delicious cookies

You will need :
  • 250 grams unsalted butter
  • 450 grams cookie flour/all-purpose flour (approximately)
  • 150 grams peanuts, I usually use  cashew nuts
  • A pinch of salt, 
  • Vanilla extract
  • Confectioners' sugar

  1. Toasted and chopped the nuts, do not be to small
  2. In a mixing bowl, put the flour and butter, mix with wooden spoon until combine, add the vanilla, salt and the cashew
  3. Take a small amount of the dough, and shape it to make a medium crescent with your hands, about 7 cm long and 1 cm in thickness
  4. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F and grease several cookie sheet pans, or line with parchment paper
  5. Put the cookies on sheet pan, leaving 1 inch apart between cookies.
  6. Bake for 20 minuter or until edges are light brown
  7. Transfer to another clean pans and sprinkle with the sugar immediately, until all the surface are coated with the confectioners' sugar
This recipe will make 900 grams cookies.
